Inside Women's cricket
Courtney Walsh tells all as the #MaroonWarriors gear up for ICC Women's World Cup
When assessing the content output from Caribbean Cricket Podcast in 2021 whilst we produced a lot to be proud of across various media outlets we were always wary that we were lacking when it came to Women’s cricket.
One of our goals in 2022, the World Cup notwithstanding, was to increase our West Indies Women’s content ten-fold.
With that in mind it made sense to start the year as we mean to go on with a conversation with Head Coach Courtney Walsh.
It was only 30 minutes long but touched on all the key issues for the Women’s game in the Caribbean.
If you want a guide to understand the state of the game then this is the right place to start.
Are we in a position to supplement the Big three (Deandra Dottin, Stafanie Taylor and Hayley Matthews)?
What barriers remain to the growth of the game? How has the pandemic affected the growth?
What do Cricket West Indies need to do to take the game forward?
As ever feel free to share this with anyone you feel would benefit from this platform and the work we are doing to be the #1 media brand covering West Indies cricket.
