West Indies barely played ODIs in 2021 and of the nine they did play - three involved a third strength side losing in Bangladesh.

With that said and done the remaining six were relatively promising performances. A 3-0 sweep at home vs Sri Lanka and a 1-2 defeat at home to Australia.

It is no exaggeration to say that West Indies go into the three games vs Ireland as overwhelming favourites and really need to get the 30 points at stake vis-a-vis the ODI Super League.

However it is a certainty that no matter who the interim selection committee (Phil Simmons, Kieron Pollard and Jimmy Adams) pick for the series that the media and fans will be in uproar about something or someone.

With that in mind I took to our You Tube channel to identify the most likely names in the frame for the squad of 15 and why whatever noise that follows will likely be for the sake of it.

In truth the 15 man squad writes itself and but for some injuries there should be very few surprises if any.
