West Indies Women: World Cup special
Six years on from the World Cup win in 2016 how realistic are the chances for the #MaroonWarriors in 2022?
We promised you at the start of 2022 that we would bring much more West Indies Women’s cricket content to your screens and ears.
As tempting as it is for some to believe that West Indies cricket is just men's cricket, outlets like ours exist to ensure all aspects of the game in the region receive appropriate coverage.
With that in mind and the World Cup on the immediate horizon we were delighted to invite Ayana Holder back into the Carib Cricket studios to talk West Indies Women and look at the Women's game in general.
What are the realistic chances for the #MaroonWarriors going into the World Cup? What's the bigger picture? Is it Taylor, Dottin and Matthews or bust?
The lack of game time for the Women’s team over the last three years means we arguably enter the competition under cooked and it’s a situation head coach Courtney Walsh is all to aware of. He recently spoke about this issue on the Caribbean Cricket Podcast.
Anywho take a listen to the podcast with Ayana so you are well prepared ahead of our opening game vs New Zealand on March 4th.
