Agree below. Cottrell and Holder seem to be the Perfect opening partnership.

Oshane has good potential IMO as a good backup rather than kesrick.

Fletcher i think In CPL and now has done enough to warrant a place in Squad

But is it fair Simmons and Lewis can just walk into the side.?

Hetmyer is the weaklink , he is a gamble which is often not paying off

Mayers I think has potential to cover him

I agree too, Holder has to play from now on. The resources just aren't there for PowerPlay bowling at the moment. An ideal situation would be those two and Thomas taking those 6 with maybe Allen taking one should the match up suit.

I think Simmons and Lewis are the best pairing for T20, it depends if you want to be fair or win games. Fletcher is a good squad member as remember, he can cover the opening spot and the keeper spot in the team.

The thing with Hetmyer is that whilst his international career hasn't taken off. He hasn't had a poor year in franchise cricket. He had as good a CPL as anyone and was potentially misused in the IPL. Mayers is an exciting prospect but I feel Hetmyer deserves at least the next series

Oh boy do we have some work ahead of us before the World Cup, firstly Cottrell needs support up front and as of right now I think Holder might be the only answer, while Oshane was more than decent his pace seems like it’s gone down in an effort to gain some more control which I think isn’t a terrible thing but his pace is what gives him the X-factor and for what it’s worth he does look fitter bit without that extra pace have to probably back Holder as the 2nd pacer. I’m not sure Keemo is ready to bowl at this level with the white ball, yeah his skillset is attractive but when he loses the plot it’s potentially match losing as we noted in the series preview, gotta assume his spot goes to Bravo and if he gets injured we’re completely screwed. Kesrick as well is probably done at this level he looked like a club bowler out there, disappointing Shep didn’t get a proper go, hope he starts against Bangladesh.

Not going to lie Hetmyer is beginning to worry me, he’s had a really poor year being topped off with these 2 horrible innings he played this series, how long are we going to be able to use the he’s young and learning excuse? He’s got to show some kind of maturity, with Brandon and Fletcher going out for Lewis/Simmons/Gayle it’s looking like Hetmyer is the one weak link in the batting.

We do have work but it's not as bad as it seems with the likes of Bravo, Russell, Narine waiting in the wings.

I agree with you that Cottrell and Holder have to be first choice now. Thomas was okay - time will tell how he manages to improve his pace. Ideally the 6 powerplay overs come from those 3 with Allen the spin variation given the match up.

I agree Bravo and Russell coming back mean Keemo doesn't play but the opportunity was missed by Keemo and Kesrick. It was a shame Shepherd didn't get a go because he again can add some depth.

I see what you say about Hetmyer in Maroon but he hasn't had a bad year on the franchise circuit. Where batting was poor in the CPL, he did okay and was probably misused in the IPL. I think when it comes down to it, it will depend on if Gayle is playing for Hetmyer's place especially now Gayle batted 3 in the IPL

Bravo/Russell/Narine have all had question marks around them for various reasons so that’s worrying.

As for Hetmyer he needs to work on his match awareness, in the 1st game he pointlessly tried to attack NZ’s best bowler and it was obvious he was asked to be more cautious in the 2nd game to the extent he was overly circumspect, this isn’t even the first time this happened this year after he was clearly dropped against Ireland for playing some dumb shots, add to that coming from the IPL where he was asked to bat out of position I sympathize with him but he really needs to work on batting smarter because his talent is undeniable , and that’s something he can easily learn from Polly and Gayle hell even Pooran.
