Would implementing regulations on the types of bowlers you can use and how many overs they can bowl affect the first-class status of the West Indies 4-day championship?
I just checked the ICC Classification of Official Cricket and some of the rules are vague but I did not see anything that would outright disqualify the FC status. That being said, I think we're in a time in the sport where the word of certain entities are given more power than the rule books themselves. I can see FC status being struck down to continue the disenfranchisement of the region in the sport and I can also see the change going ignored.
